The first week decides whether a membership becomes a routine. New members join us from Commack, Kings Park, East Northport, Hauppauge, and every town in between, and the ones who settle in fastest all do roughly the same handful of things. Here is that game plan, day by day, so your week one does the work for you.

Before your first visit: two five minute tasks

Everything at the studio runs through the Red Light Method app, so downloading it is genuinely step one. Book your first Red Light Therapy session inside it, and while you are there, look at your week and pencil in when visits two and three could land. You do not have to book them yet. You just want the shape of the week in your head before it starts.

  • Download the app and book session one. Choose a time you could realistically repeat every week.
  • Pack light. Comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and clean, bare skin for your session. Skip makeup, lotion, and sunscreen beforehand so the light reaches skin directly.

Visit one: Red Light Therapy, plus a baseline scan

Arrive a few minutes early so a team member can walk you through the space. Your first Red Light Therapy session runs about 25 minutes, and your only job is to lie back and let the panel work. Before or after, ask about a STYKU 3D body scan. It takes only a few minutes, it gives you a real baseline, and in four to six weeks it will answer the question every new member eventually asks: is this doing anything? A scan turns that from a guess into a measurement.

Visit two: add the Power Plate

On your second visit, put 10 minutes on the Power Plate before your Red Light Therapy session. Whole body vibration wakes up muscles and circulation quickly, with minimal joint stress, and the pairing is how most longtime members structure a standard visit. If anything feels unfamiliar, say so. The team adjusts settings for beginners all day long, and nobody is expected to arrive knowing how any of it works.

Visit three: slow it down in the sauna

Close your first week with a slower visit built around the Far Infrared Sauna. Start with five minutes and build up gradually, hydrate more than you think you need, and treat it as a reset rather than a workout. Members from Kings Park and East Northport tell us the weekend sauna visit is the habit that makes the whole week feel sustainable, because it is the one that asks the least of you.

End of week one: lock the routine in

Now the important part. Open the app and book the same three slots for next week. A routine survives on repetition, not motivation, and holding fixed times is the single strongest predictor of who is still coming in three months. From there, the studio grows with you: a Pilates Reformer class when you want strength work, custom wrap zones when you have a specific area in mind, and a follow up STYKU scan in a month to see it all on paper.

One rule for the whole week

Do less than you think you should. Every space at Red Light Method Commack is designed to be low impact and repeatable, and week one is about learning the rhythm of the studio, not testing your limits. Show up three times, keep it easy, and let consistency do what intensity never could.
