Far Infrared Sauna is the part of Red Light Method Commack members tend to discover second, after Red Light Therapy, and then never skip again. It is quiet, simple, and pairs naturally with the rest of your visit. Here is what it does, and how members from Huntington to Northport use it.

How Far Infrared Sauna is different

Unlike a traditional steam sauna, Far Infrared heat warms your body directly rather than heating the air around you. That means a lower, more comfortable temperature that still produces a deep sweat. Most members find it easier to sit through a full session compared to a traditional sauna, and easier to fit into a lunch break or an evening stop after work.

The gentle, penetrating heat is used to support detoxification, ease sore muscles, and promote a healthy glow, while supporting circulation and better sleep. It is a restorative add on, not a replacement for the rest of the studio, which is exactly how most members use it.

How to use the sauna well

Whether you use it to warm up before a Red Light Therapy or Power Plate session, or to cool down and stretch afterward, a few basics make the experience better:

  • Start with five minutes and build up gradually as you get comfortable with the heat.
  • Hydrate before, during, and after your session, more than you think you need.
  • Clothing is required in the sauna at all times.

Why Huntington and Northport members build it into their week

For members driving in from Huntington, Northport, and nearby towns, the sauna is often the easiest habit to keep, since it requires the least effort of anything in the studio. Sit, breathe, and let the heat do the work. Many members use it as a standing Friday or Sunday reset, paired with a lighter Red Light Therapy session to close out the week.

Others use it as a warm up before Pilates Reformer or Power Plate, loosening muscles before a more active session. There is no wrong order. The sauna is flexible enough to fit wherever it makes sense in your visit.

Booking sauna time

Sauna sessions are reserved in the Red Light Method app, just like every other space in the studio. Book it alongside a Red Light Therapy or Power Plate session, or on its own when you need a slower visit.
